Brendan Cournoyer, Site Editor

Brendan obtained a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Rhode Island, where he spent time as an on-air radio news correspondent and print copyeditor. He also has extensive news writing experience covering a variety of topics including national politics, local town government, entertainment and other current events. Since joining TechTarget in the summer of 2005, Brendan has been responsible for several aspects of day-to-day site maintenance, such as news and homepage updates, learning guide creation and newsletter construction. He also maintains TechTarget's Labmice Web site, and works with expert contributors to help provide IT professionals with the highest quality expert advice. In addition, Brendan was also the original voice of SearchWinIT.com's "Windows Week in Review" podcast. |

Lauren Horwitz is the managing editor of the Data Center/Virtualizaiton group at TechTarget. Horwitz comes to Data Center from CIO Decisions magazine, where she also served as the managing editor and a contributing writer. Previously, she was a senior editor at Cutter Consortium, an IT research firm, and an editor at the American Prospect, a political journal.
In 2007, her work won awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors and Trade, Association and Business Publications International. |

Mark Schlack, Vice President, Editorial

Mark Schlack has covered the use of technology in business for 23 years, concentrating on computer technology for the last 16 years. He began his high-tech career as Network Editor at Datamation, where he later became Editor. Following that, he was the Editor in Chief of BYTE magazine, where he was responsible for both print and Web versions of the magazine, both domestically and internationally. He also served as VP/Content for EarthWeb, and VP/Editorial for ITworld.com.
Mark has been the recipient of a number of publishing awards, including a Jesse H. Neal Award and Certificate and several ASBPE and Folio awards. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan. He resides in Cambridge, MA. |
